Terms

Acceptance

By using AtlasDNA you agree to these terms. The service is a public map of genealogical Y-DNA and mtDNA markers operated by Sergi Adamchuk. The site currently runs at https://atlasdna.vercel.app (and related preview hosts).

What you may publish

You may publish only data you are entitled to publish. For every marker you add, you must have the tested person’s agreement to public display of the fields listed in the consent statement. A pseudonym is permitted for your display name. Publishing the name of another identifiable person as if it were yours, or as a false attribution, is not allowed.

Minors and people who cannot consent

If the person is a living minor, you confirm that you have the consent of that person’s parent or legal guardian.

Accuracy

AtlasDNA does not verify names, haplogroups, notes or locations. User-entered data may be incomplete or wrong. The service is not responsible for the correctness of published content.

Prohibited use

Do not harvest, scrape, bulk-download or republish the map data as a dataset. Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits. Do not use the service to harass, impersonate, spam or publish content unrelated to genealogical uniparental DNA. There is no public write API and no bulk export for visitors.

Suspension

We may hide a marker from the public map immediately after a plausible takedown or abuse report, then investigate. Every admin hide or restore is recorded. Accounts may be suspended for abuse. Suspension removes public visibility; it is not an edit of your content by the operator.

Your control

You can edit or delete your markers, export your data, and delete your account. Deletion removes data from public view immediately and hard-deletes it after a 30-day grace period, except consent and admin-action records retained as described in the privacy policy.

Takedown

If your data appears on the map without your agreement, use Report a problem or e-mail admin@atlasdna.eu.org. No account is required. We aim to respond within 72 hours.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. The privacy policy and these terms are kept in the project repository so changes are traceable.
